Sunday Gathering
Time:
- Every Sunday from 6.30pm, starting at 7.00pm.
Venue:
- St Teilo’s Vicarage, Aberthaw Avenue, Alway. View Map.
On Sunday nights, we gather together as a community to worship, learn together and pray together. We meet to encourage one another and to be refreshed, empowered and equipped by God to serve him with our lives.
Here’s what usually happens on a Sunday night:
- We spend some time worshipping with music – playing songs and singing together. If you aren’t musical then you can sing along, just listen, or find another creative way to engage with God.
- Then we discuss what it means to follow Jesus together – looking at the bible and trying to explore the story we are part of.
- We take time to pray for each other and respond to what we feel God has been teaching us.
How to get to the Sunday Gathering
In Alway – meeting at St Teilo’s Vicarage
From the Town Centre:
Catch either the No. 9 bus at 6.30pm from Stand 21 at the Bus Station. Get off next to the Alway Centre (big grey building with “Alway Centre” in silver letters on it). St Teilo’s Lab House is opposite the Alway centre and next to the church. It’s the large-ish house set back from the road.
From Caerleon Campus:
Meet outside the clocktower at 6.15pm for a lift to Alway!
By Car:
St Teilo’s Vicarage is just off the A48 dual carriageway – head straight across the roundabout (or left if you’re coming from Chepstow Road) and the Lab house is on the left just before the church, set back from the road. Park up in the long driveway.
