Everyone should belong somewhere
Small groups are groups of 6-12 people who meet regularly and are committed to growing meaningful relationships together. The aim is for us to encourage and challenge each other to live our whole lives intentionally for Jesus. Each group meets regularly to worship God together, study and discuss the bible together and pray for each other – but also have regular social events and get togethers, and work together to bless the local community.
Why join a small group?
Here are some reasons to join a small group:
- To be with a group of people where you belong and share honest, authentic relationships
- For the chance to discuss God and the bible and what it means for your life
- If you are serious about wanting to follow Jesus with your whole life
- To be encouraged and prayed for regularly
- To get the chance to regularly be involved in serving and giving to the local community
Serving the Community
A small budget of £50 per group per month is available for small groups to use to serve or bless the community around them in some way. We want you to be as creative as possible in coming up with ways to bless people, for instance: giving out small free gifts, serving with a local community project, helping do up a neighbour’s garden, putting on a community BBQ or fun day. The idea is to have a laugh together whilst loving and caring for the people around us.
How to get involved
We currently have four small groups:
- Alway - meets on Mondays, led by Dai Bryant
- City Centre 1 - meets on Wednesdays, led by Stephanie Keates
- City Centre 2 – meets on Wednesdays, led by Dan & Sarah Caulfield
- Maindee – meets on Wednesdays, led by James & Amy Henley
