On Tuesday 8th, Bishop Richard commissioned the first members of the new Community of St Thomas.

As well as licensing Rev James Henley as the Guardian of the new Community, Georgia Cousins and Sarah Mason were commissioned as Residential Members, living in St Thomas’ Vicarage in Maesglas, and Amy Henley was commissioned as a Companion Member.

It was a fantastic evening in the packed St Thomas’ Church. We are grateful to members of St Thomas’ Church, The Lab and the Holywell Community – the other authorised new monastic community in the Diocese of ¬†Monmouth – for their contributions to the service.
