[message_box title=”New Songs” color=”blue”]Every once in a while we’ll post new songs on the blog that we’ve just introduced at our Sunday Gatherings, so you’re able to find out who they’re by and where you can get hold of them. Here’s the first…[/message_box]

You may well remember this song, ‘Wake Up’ by the band All Sons & Daughters from this Sunday night. Jon and Cat did an awesome version of it during our time of singing after the talk.

It really is an amazing song, which expresses something of the struggles of life and the brokenness we all feel, and yet arising out of that brokenness is an incredible hope for healing, wholeness and new life.

You can find the song on All Sons & Daughters’ first full album ‘Season One‘.

Here are the lyrics:

We have seen the pain
that shaped our hearts
And in our shame
We’re still breathing, ’cause

We have seen the hope
of your healing
Rising from our souls
is the feeling
We are drawing close
Your light is shining through

Wake up, wake up
wake up all you sleepers
Stand up, stand up
Stand up all you dreamers
Hands up, hands up
Hands up all believers
Take up your cross, carry it on

All that you reveal
with light in us
will come to life
and start breathing, ’cause

Here we stand our hearts are yours, Lord
not our will but yours be done, Lord
