Who we are
Who is the Lab?
The Lab is a group of people, mainly young adults, trying to follow Jesus together through lives of mission, service and sacrifice.
We believe in a God who is on a mission to bring the world back together. We want to join him by living lives which are dedicated to loving and serving each other and the people around us. We know that doing this will often mean the sacrifice of our own wants and desires in order to put others first.
You are welcome to join us no matter who you are or what you believe.
When do we meet?
We have two main gatherings each week when our whole community comes together.
These meetings aren’t the point – we meet to grow relationships together, and to encourage one another for the rest of the week.
Foodface
On Wednesdays from 6.30pm, we have our community meal, where we sit, eat together and spend time together. At the start of the month, we meet together as a big group, and then split into smaller groups for the rest of the month to meet in people’s homes.

Sunday Evening Gathering
On Sunday, we meet together from 6.30pm to worship, learn together, and encourage each other.
Here’s what usually happens on a Sunday night:
- We spend some time worshipping with music – playing songs and singing together. If you aren’t musical then you can sing along, just listen, or find another creative way to engage with God.
- Then we discuss what it means to follow Jesus together – looking at the bible and trying to explore the story we are part of.
- We take time to pray for each other and respond to what we feel God has been teaching us.
